architecture of the future
As an outsider, for me this entire environmental friendlily movement it seems more or less new, or lets just say innovative. I believe my co-national Romanian people would agree my statement, still I notice this movement in architecture is far from been new. Architects from all over the world are planning buildings that will bring us closer to our original nature. The idea of building as a leaving organism, as a being, with a central ax as a coordinating system, and every further enclosures going from that central point.
Recently I have seen many futuristic projects, which are trying to solve some of our very numerous problems, such as lack of space – for this there are built aerial bridges, and corridors; the growth on vertical, as there is no place to grow on horizontal scale. Buildings that are reaching the sky and lose their tops through the clouds; constructions built out of iron and glass, using solar energy, wind and air currents; buildings there are meant to fight pollution and smog; buildings of the future.
These words are bringing me to the conclusion that future belongs to architecture, not to oil, not to coal, not to land, but air, environmental friendly constructions, glass and iron, and amazingly innovative constructions.
