the modern comunism
First I have considered it doesn’t worth the effort to write about the summit, until something stroke me and brought me to reality, behind all polite words that are said, behind stupidly artificial smiles that are shown on tv, there are important decisions that are discussed behind the doors which will be closed on April 4th. I was thinking about Bismark and Churchill, the two leaders that shared the map on a piece of paper, and draw a line to limit each other’s half … I am thinking now, those people will decide for me, it will forbid my wright to decide for myself and will be a silent acceptance for their decision … this is more then tragic, and I would have preferred to have been unaware of the issue.
S tarting with Saturday, Bucharest have become a sad city. It is usually full of life, full of tumult, noisy and streets are paved with parked automobiles. There is no lid to pass through, there is no escape …. the cars are everywhere … but not now, not this week.
victoriei Avenue is the saddest area in Bucharest. There are police mens, bodyguards, special guards, CIA, FBI and SRI everywhere, in each intersection, from 5 to 5 meters on the street there are guardians keeping people and cars away. Streets are closed. You are forbidden to enter, you can’t go out.
But the most, it has amazed me the silence all over the place. People are whispering. They can’t speak. They are afraid of something undefined. There is no noise. No bird, no car, no child, no dog … everything is quiet, and … deserted.I am not very familiar with the time when communism ruled our society, but I strongly believe it must have been strongly similar with our situation now.
Today it seemed to me even the subway was walking silently … there are guardians everywhere, you can’t speak, you can’t bereave, you don’t want it, but you are whispering … and the subway was whispering too!
